“The purpose for which the organization is formed is to promote and offer programs which benefit and assist the elder population of the Town of Holden in cooperation with the Holden Council on Aging: to encourage, foster and stimulate the social and economic lives of the elder population of Holden.”

FINANCIAL

HELP at HOME  –  This program is available to all citizens of Holden.  If you have an unexpected expense, such as a repair or broken appliance, that you have tried your best to resolve but hit a dead end there are funds available to you.   This is not a loan you need to repay.  This is a helping hand from your neighbors to get you out of a jam.  To apply call the Senior Center and ask for Outreach  –  508-210-5570.  This is not a Seniors Only program.

Food Pantry  –  The regional Food Pantry is located on RT 12 in Sterling right over the railroad bridge.
Food is distributed on the third Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, for people of any age. A distribution dedicated to senior citizens (65 and older) is held the preceding day, on Friday.  If you are not able to go yourself call the Senior Center at 508-210-5570 and ask for OUTREACH.
